Main personal project. MMORPG with various game features.
Description of the game:
First of all I have to mention that the game is still being improved on each and every aspect. If the reader has any suggestions I do welcome and really appreciate it. My Idea of the game is to combine features and game styles from entirely different games, from third person shooters to MMORPGs. I would like to create a unique personality for each playable character. Main game style will be based on leveling system with either quest system or simple grind system for solo players. Each unique character will have a story line with unique quests only for one specific class and side quests. The side quests can be done either with or without a group. A group will range from 2 to 5 players. At the beginning of the game the player will have to choose a guild which will be specify to the character's class. Story line will be strongly connected with guild's identity. Each class will have a unique talent tree with various combination of skills in it. I will describe classes and skills bellow the description.
Game world description:
Each guild will have their own continent where players can do the main story line quests. Leveling by their own and reach mid level range where player will have the chance to get side quests that will allow the player to step in other guild's continets and get side quests, meet other players, make legion and get unique crafting skills. Each continent will have unique art style which is strongly connected to the guild's history and identity. Each continent will have unique creatures. These monsters will only exist on a specific continent and different dungeons where players can group up and get rewards.
Character's story line:
- Story line:
Each story line will strongly connect the guild's idenitity, personality and style. Each story will represent the history of the guild and current and future issues which the guild itself face.
- Starting gear:
Each player will recive basic, but unique item set for the character. These sets will allow the palyer to understand and learn the basics of the character. It's important to make the palyer like and enjoy the character from the very beginning so the starter gear pack won't let palyer suffer at all.
- Starting status points:
Character will recive the best starting status points which are describe in the character's identity and ability. Player will easily understand how to use their character either against creatures or other palyers in combat. Leveling the status points will be automatic or the player will be ableto add/spend them manually This part not clear yet.
- Quests for story lines:
Quests for the story lines will be mostly solo quests. These quests will lead the palyer to conquer the main continent where the character belongs. The player will have a clear image of the history of the continent and a guild. They will recive guild moral and appereance in the game world.
Chacarter classes for guilds:
This list is under development. Not the final list of the available classes.
- Bushido: Tank type, swordsmanship. Effective damage and defensive skills. Unique skill is Dash movement, higher health points and defensive points.
- Hitman: Assassin type, modern weapon user, Bruiser damage, but weak defensive. Unique skill hide, higher damage, higher movement speed.
- Headhunter: Ranger type, modern or futuristic weapon user, either can burst enemies or create traps to slow down them, Unique skill is can lock in one enemy and can do double damage, high range.
- Mage(Wizard): Caster type, tradition equipment user, eaither can be burts or create slow effects on enemy players, Unique skill is has shield which absord all the damage for number of seconds, High stamina point and damage dealt.
- Cyborg(support): Healer, buffer type, gives allied players various type of buffs and healing them in fights, Unique skill is can resurect allied players, High health points and stamina points.
- Droid(artificial intelligence): summoner type, can create various type of drone with unique abilities, High stamina points and movement speed,
Talent trees:
Each character will have a unique set of skills expect crafting skills. Players will get a taste of all skills up until mid level. The skills will only be introduced to the player on a basic level. Idea is to let player try each skills on basic level and allow them to get two extra level on each skills, but player wont get enough talent points to maximalise each abilities.
Combat system:
The game will contain different kind of PvP features. From basic 1v1 up to 20v20, but what makes this game's PvP system different from others is to create guild tournaments, legion tournaments, legion fights and there will be a feature where legions can take over prefectures in continents. Unique rewards will be given to the legion that rules that continent such as dungeons and crafting NPCs. As long as the legion rules the prefecture they will have access to these temporary rewards.
Leveling system:
The player will be able to choose between using the questing system to get levels through earning experience or from dungeons with solo or party game style and/or by farming creatures. Guests will give extra items and experience, but they will take longer time to achieve and complete.
Legion system:
Legion will be available for players who have reached the middle of the maximum level. Legion will allow palyers to do radio prefectures in continents and get unique items and ways to maximise their character's item list along with basic functions such as raids, create friendships and play as a real team member in the game world.
End content:
- PvP:
Players will have plenty of chance and PvP modes to test and learn and be the master of their character. From a simple 1v1 as a duel anywhere in game world to arenas where players can team up from 2v2 up to 20v20 there will be unqiue game modes such as capture the flag, tournaments, head hunt, legion versus legion and prefecture invade/defend. Prefecture invade/defend will be like that; each continent have number of cities which legions can capture. When legion capture other legions will have the chance to take over if they defeat defender team and their defender creature. City design will have stronghold, but art style, creatures and models will keep unique style as continent itself.
- PvE:
Each continent will have dungeons which are available only for the guild and also which are available for each guild from each continent. Which are locked to only one guild will drop medium or rare items and will be connected with story line, but which have free entry will drop rare and godlike items. The only negative point is dropping rates will be low and will not drop items for each class at the same time.
- Crafting system:
Each continent will have its own unique crafting ability up on basic crafting abilities which are create scrolls, poition, pets and other small helps in the game. Players will have the chance to sell these items all around game world on trade market.
- Equipments:
Each class will have its own type of gear and there will be 3 different kind of items for each character. First will focus on status points which let player gear up for PvE. These PvE items will be usefull only against creatuers. Second type of gear will have PvP oriented status points only. Third kind of item gear will be hybrid which gives status both for PvE and PvP but not as effective as the oriented items.
